What Onzira Labs is really building
We're not just a chatbot company. Here's the broader thesis — AI-native software for verticals that traditional SaaS ignored.
Anserra is one product. Onzira Labs is the company behind it. We build AI-native software — SaaS products, AI agents and custom software for verticals that mainstream SaaS has ignored.
Since we’ve been asked what the broader thesis is, here it is.
The thesis
The last decade of SaaS was built for two customer archetypes: (a) fast-growing US tech companies with generous cloud budgets, and (b) Fortune 500 enterprises that could afford Salesforce and its ecosystem.
Between these two lives a much larger group: SMBs, agencies, single-country businesses in industries that never got quality software. Dental clinics running on Excel. Salons using WhatsApp for bookings. Independent retailers running Shopify but with no post-purchase workflow. Mid-sized law firms without a document intelligence layer. Real-estate brokers who still send PDFs of listings.
The historical constraint on serving this market: building high-quality software takes millions of dollars, so vendors need broad TAMs to justify the build. AI has moved that constraint. A team of five with modern AI tooling can now build vertical SaaS for a category that used to require 50 engineers.
That’s the opportunity we’re building for.
The product portfolio (2026)
Under active development at Onzira Labs:
- Anserra — Custom AI chatbots trained on your content. Grounded, cited, embedded anywhere. The tool you’re reading this on.
- ClinicOS — SaaS for small dental and medical clinics. Bookings, patient records, insurance, prescriptions, WhatsApp reminders. Live in India.
- SalonPOS — POS + inventory + client history for salons. Same shape as ClinicOS, different vertical.
- GlowRank — AI-native local search-presence platform. What Yext does, but for the SMB tier that Yext prices out. Live in India, UAE, UK, EU, US.
- Onzira CRM — General-purpose CRM with WhatsApp-first workflow, targeting Indian SMBs.
- WhatsApp Platform — API + inbox + broadcast tooling for teams whose primary customer channel is WhatsApp.
Some products are single-country; some are global. The pattern is consistent: AI-native from day one, vertical or channel focused, priced for the SMB tier that traditional SaaS underserves.
The AI stance
AI isn’t a “feature.” It’s a foundational assumption that changes how software gets built.
Chatbots that answer from your own content, agents that draft replies your team approves, workflows where the AI does 80% of the work and asks a human for the last 20%. This is different from bolting “AI” onto a 2015 SaaS UI.
We’re not trying to replace human judgement. We’re trying to make it possible for a five-person business to punch above its weight, using tools that used to only exist at Salesforce scale.
Why Delhi, why India
Onzira Labs is headquartered in Saket, New Delhi, India. This is partly practical (that’s where we are) and partly strategic:
- Vertical software depth in India is massively under-served. Small dental clinics, salons, real-estate brokers, D2C brands, coaching centres — huge markets, almost no quality SaaS.
- Cost structure lets us serve the SMB tier. Building high-quality software from India for these customer segments works when it doesn’t work from San Francisco.
- The market is a proving ground. If a product works for a small dental clinic in Varanasi, it works for one in Toronto. The reverse isn’t true — Toronto-first products almost never fit smaller markets.
We ship globally. We start locally.
What Anserra fits into
Anserra fits into this thesis because retrieval-grounded chat is a foundational building block. Every one of our vertical products can benefit from a chatbot that answers from that domain’s content. A dental clinic gets a chatbot that answers appointment and insurance questions. A salon gets a chatbot that answers services and pricing questions.
For teams outside Onzira Labs, Anserra is a standalone product. Customers use it for their own websites and apps, on any plan they choose. We built it to work as a general-purpose tool because the underlying technology is genuinely useful anywhere content exists.
What we’re not
We’re not:
- A ChatGPT wrapper. Our products build real workflows and connect to real data. The AI is a layer of the stack, not the whole stack.
- An agency. We build product; we’re not for hire on client work.
- A hype cycle vendor. Every product we ship is designed to be commercially viable at unit-economic levels, not at “AI premium” pricing that resets when the AI premium resets.
What comes next
More products in verticals we understand. Better integration between them (single-signon, shared inbox, shared payments). Regional expansion where existing markets pull us.
If you want to work with us on the customer side, our products are all self-serve. If you want to work with us on the team side, we hire product engineers who care about the details.
