Terms of Service

The service

Anserra lets you upload content, train a retrieval-based chatbot on it, and publish that chatbot on your own websites and channels. You keep ownership of everything you upload; we keep ownership of the platform itself.

We provide the service as it is described in our documentation. Features change as the product develops. We will not remove a materially important capability from a paid plan without notice.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the actions of teammates you invite and anyone holding an API key you have issued.

Keep your credentials secure. API keys carry full workspace access within their scopes and should never be exposed in a browser or committed to source control. Tell us promptly if you believe a key or account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

You may not use Anserra to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Build a chatbot that impersonates a real person or organisation without their permission.
• Generate content that is unlawful, harassing, or designed to deceive people about who they are talking to.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access other customers' data, or probe the platform's security without written authorisation.
• Resell or white-label the service on a plan that does not include those rights.

Your content and AI output

Content you upload remains yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to process it — to extract, chunk, embed, store and retrieve it — for the sole purpose of operating your chatbots.

AI-generated replies are produced by third-party language models working from the context your content provides. They can be wrong. You are responsible for what your chatbot tells your visitors, and for reviewing its behaviour before publishing it. We provide citations, a relevance threshold and human handoff precisely so this is auditable — but the editorial responsibility is yours.

Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Usage above your plan's allowance may be blocked rather than billed, so nothing is charged that you did not choose.

You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial months, except where required by law.

Availability and liability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, except where such exclusion is not permitted by law.

Termination

You may delete your workspace at any time. Deletion archives your chatbots immediately and schedules a permanent purge after a 30-day grace period, during which you can ask us to restore it.

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless doing so would be unlawful.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email and take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice, so you have time to object by closing your account.

Governing law

This document is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights you hold where you live.
